Nilam has extensive experience in prosecuting patent application and advising clients. She handles patents for inventions in the fields of biochemistry, biotechnology, chemistry, and pharmaceuticals.

She had given invited speech on “Legal Aspects of IPR” particularly for patent and design at sensitization programme on Intellectual Property Rights organized by Ministry of Small Scale Industries, Government of India.

In the workshop organized by National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, India she had given presentation on “Basic Concepts of Patent Protection in India: Law & Practice Including Procedural Aspects of Patenting”.

She had given speech on “Types of Patent Applications & Patent Filing” in patent awareness workshop organized by Shri Sharvajanik Pharmacy College, Mehsana, India.

Nilam is one of the writers of an article “Biotechnology Patents”, which is published in Biotechnology Chronical an official magazine of Gujarat State Biotechnology Mission, Department of Science and Technology, Government of Gujarat.

She has also attended various national seminars as well as Annual meeting of ASEAN Intellectual Property Association at Bangkok and Singapore.

She held Bachelor Degree in Biochemistry from Gujarat University. She has received Master Degree in Biomedical Technology from the same university. At present she is pursuing her LLB.
